Rose Roach led The Knights to victory by driving in four runs. She went 2-for-3 at the plate. Roach drove in runs on a home run in the third and a single in the fourth.
Kaneland fired up the offense in the first inning. Donatela Sommesi singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.
The Knights tallied three runs in the sixth inning.
A single by Peyton Dillon in the fourth inning was a positive for Rosary.
Erickson was the winning pitcher for Kaneland. She surrendered zero runs on four hits over seven innings, striking out 15 and walking zero.
Brooke Cappararelli took the loss for Rosary. She surrendered eight runs on nine hits over six innings, striking out five and walking one.
Kaneland smacked one home run on the day. Roach went deep in the third inning.
The Knights scattered nine hits in the game. Sommesi and Roach each managed multiple hits for Kaneland. Sommesi went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead in hits. Kaneland didn’t commit a single error in the field. Lily Lindgren had the most chances in the field with 16.
