Olivia Ortegel led The Knights to victory by driving in five runs. Ortegel went 2-for-4 at the plate. Ortegel drove in runs on a home run in the third and a single in the fourth.
Kaneland got on the board in the first inning when Olivia Stoker grounded out, scoring one run.
Kaneland tallied seven runs in the third inning. Kailey Plank, Rose Roach, Stoker, Ortegel, and Delaney Douglas powered the big inning with RBIs.
McKenna Ryan was the winning pitcher for Kaneland. The righty surrendered zero runs on zero hits over three innings, striking out four and walking zero. Algrim threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
