The Boys Track Team was back in action Friday night at Batavia High School, competing against 7 great Track programs in Batavia, Burlington Central, Bartlett, Lake Park, Minooka, Hinsdale South, and West Aurora.
The Knights were led by 1st place finishes from Porter Conroy in the HJ (6’0) and Drew Hahn in the Shot Put (47’10). Max Gagne continued to display his speed by taking 3rd in the 55 (6.83) and 6th in the 200 (24.32). Daniel Occhipinti ran an indoor best in the 1600 taking 3rd place with 4:31.78. Freshman Corey Phillips made his debut on the Track by taking 7th place in the 200 with a time of 24.64 which is currently the 13th fastest time in Illinois for Freshman.
Ted Allen and Nate Bermes both made 12’6″ in the pole vault to take 5th and 8th respectively, not bad for 1 vault practice! Colton Doll took 5th in the Triple Jump (39’9.5), and Alex Dhom took 6th in the LJ (18’10.5). Sam Pryor and Brandon Roberts both had huge PRs in the Shot put, joining the vaunted 40′ club with efforts of 42’6.5 and 41’8.
The Knights will be back in action just down the road at Burlington Central’s brand new Fieldhouse for the Rocket Invite on Friday March 8th.
