A 12-run third inning led to a 15-1 victory on Tuesday. The team was led by Ronnie Latka, Grace Algrim, Kyra Motyka, Linzey Castello, Makenna Sikon, and Kellie Fabbri, who all drove in runs.
The Knights got on the board in the first inning, scoring one run when Rachael Hendricks doubled.
Kaneland put up 12 runs in the third inning. Kaneland’s offense in the inning was led by Latka, Algrim, Motyka, Castello, Sikon, and Fabbri, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Algrim led things off in the circle for Kaneland Knights JV. She surrendered one run on one hit over four innings, striking out eight.
Kaneland Knights JV hit one home run on the day. Motyka went for the long ball in the third inning.
Kaneland Knights JV collected 15 hits on the day. Abby Latka hit a single and earned an RBI and, Motyka, Algrim, Jeanie Ramos, and Fabbri each managed multiple hits for Kaneland Knights JV. Latka led Kaneland Knights JV with three hits in three at bats. Kaneland Knights JV didn’t commit a single error in the field. Latka had the most chances in the field with five.
