An opportunity to get out of the hallways/snow/ice and spike it up on a college indoor track was embraced by 12 Knights as we made our way over to North Central College to compete in the Mustang Relays.

The 4×800 got us going with Austin Adams lead-off leg of 2:04.4. Aidan Lodwig was next coming through in 2:12, then handing off to his sophomore brother Aaron Lodwig who ran a lifetime best 2:07 and put us in contention to win the heat. Daniel Occhipinti got the stick and ran a tactful anchor leg in 2:01.6 and sealing the win for the Knights!

The 4×200 was next and with a team of a freshman, 2 sophomores, and a junior, they competed like veterans. The team of Ted Allen, Corey Phillips, Cole McMillan, and Colton Doll raced around the track in a blistering time of 1:37.43.

The 4×400 closed out the night and close it they did. With 3 of the 4 members having less than a week of practice under their belts, they ran tremendously and raised their ceiling of what they can do when it matters most in May. Noah Butzman led off in a 55.3, Kyle Angelotti was next with 55.3, Chris Angelotti ran a very gutsy 54.1, and Ben Durbala brought it home in 54.6. Great job guys!

11 of the 12 athletes who competed last night are multi-sport and it shows in their competitiveness and drive. 3 days of practice this week and we are back competing in the Central Rocket Invitational on Friday.
