Jeanie Ramos gave Loyalsock Township fits, as she bagged four hits in Kaneland’s 18-1 victory on Thursday. Ramos singled in the first, singled in the third, tripled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.
The Knights JV got things started in the first inning, scoring three runs on a single by Ronnie Latka.
Grace Algrim earned the victory in the pitcher’s circle for Kaneland. She surrendered one run on three hits over three innings, striking out four. Ramos threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Kaneland tallied 19 hits on the day. Ramos, Kyra Motyka, Latka, Delaney Douglas, Kellie Fabbri, and Abby Latka all managed multiple hits for the Knights. Ramos led the team with four hits in five at bats.
The Knights didn’t commit a single error in the field. Alyssa Stoker had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
Kaneland is back in action on Tuesday, taking on conference foe Morris. Game time is 4:30.
